Privacy Policy for SUPKA
At SUPKA, we value your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our mobile applications on iPhone and iPad.
1. Information We Collect
- Location Data: We collect precise GPS location on your device to record paddling routes and show your position on the map during an active workout. Full route tracks are stored locally on your phone by default.
- Account Information: When you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive basic profile information (such as name and email) from that provider.
- Workout Summaries: If you use SUPKA Cloud Sync (Pro / soft trial), we store workout summary metrics (distance, duration, speeds, and similar stats). We do not upload your raw GPS track to our cloud database.
- Photos: Workout photos you add are stored on your device. Optional cloud photo storage may be offered later; if enabled, that would be disclosed in-app and governed by this policy.
- Backups you choose: You may back up workouts and settings to iCloud or Google Drive using your own Apple / Google account quota. Those backups are controlled by you and subject to Apple’s or Google’s terms for that storage.
- Weather / water context: Approximate location may be used to fetch weather (WeatherKit / Open-Meteo) and water-temperature context via our cloud function and public data providers (for example USGS, NOAA).
- Usage / diagnostics: We may process diagnostic information to improve stability (for example via Firebase).
Weather and water conditions
SUPKA may use your approximate location to show weather and water context:
- Apple WeatherKit (primary on iOS when available), with Apple’s legal attribution
- Open-Meteo as a fallback air-weather source
- Public water / ocean data providers (for example USGS, NOAA) where available
Weather and water information is for convenience only and is not a substitute for official marine forecasts or safety advice.
2. How We Use Your Information
Your data is used to:
- Provide tracking, mapping, statistics, and related features on your devices
- Enable Liveguard: when you choose, SUPKA opens the system share sheet so you can send a Maps location pin via an app you select. Liveguard does not stream your location to a SUPKA live-tracking server
- Sync Cloud Sync summaries when you are signed in and entitled (soft trial or Pro)
- Show weather and water context
- Improve app performance and fix technical issues
3. Soft trial, Pro, and payments
Most SUPKA features that run on your device are free forever, including GPS tracking, Logbook, maps, statistics, training load / effort, and local import/export.
SUPKA Pro is Cloud Sync (and restore on a new phone). A time-limited soft trial may unlock Cloud Sync without a card. Paid Cloud Sync subscriptions (for example monthly or yearly) may be offered through the App Store when purchases are enabled; billing is handled by Apple. Lifetime unlocks are not currently offered.
4. Data Deletion
Signed-in users (Apple / Google): Profile → Account → Delete Account → confirm → type DELETE.
This removes your Firebase Auth account, cloud sync workout summaries, SUPKA workouts and avatar on this device, and paid Pro entitlement stubs on device.
This does not automatically remove backup files in iCloud or Google Drive (delete those in Apple/Google apps), or App Store purchases/subscriptions (manage in Apple ID settings; deleting the app account does not refund purchases).
You may also email avi.apps.labs@gmail.com; in-app Delete Account is the primary path. Guests have no cloud account — delete workouts in Logbook or remove the app. Revoke HealthKit access in iOS Settings → Health → Data Access & Devices.
5. Your Rights
You have the right to request access to your personal data or the deletion of your account and associated cloud data at any time via Delete Account in the app or by contacting us.
6. Contact
Questions: avi.apps.labs@gmail.com
7. Apple Health Integration
SUPKA optionally integrates with Apple Health (HealthKit).
- Data: With your permission, we may read and write workout-related data (such as active energy, distance, duration, and heart-rate related workout data) so sessions appear in Apple Health and contribute to Activity Rings where applicable.
- Control: Revoke access anytime in iOS Settings → Health → Data Access & Devices. We do not sell or share your health data with third-party advertisers.
